Seb & Naomi’s Intimate Lake District Wedding at Low Hall The Lakes

There are some weddings that just stay with you, and Seb & Naomi’s beautiful wedding at Low Hall The Lakes was absolutely one of them. From the incredible Lakeland scenery to one of the hottest wedding days I’ve ever photographed, their day was relaxed, emotional and intimate.

As a Lake District wedding photographer, it’s always so lovely to capture couples who truly connect with the landscape around them, and Seb & Naomi’s wedding felt deeply rooted in everything they love most about the Lakes.

A Relaxed & Intimate Wedding in the Lake District

Seb & Naomi chose to keep their wedding day small and personal, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The atmosphere throughout the entire day was incredibly relaxed, no rushing, no stress, just everyone fully enjoying every moment together under the sunshine.

And what a day for weather it was.

Honestly, it was probably one of the hottest wedding days I’ve ever captured in the Lake District, but thankfully Low Hall The Lakes provided the perfect setting for a laid-back summer celebration.

An Outdoor Ceremony with Lakeland Fells as the Backdrop

The ceremony itself took place on the lawn at Low Hall The Lakes, and it’s genuinely hard to imagine a more beautiful setting to say your vows. With the Lakeland fells stretching out behind them and the summer sun pouring across the gardens, it created an unforgettable atmosphere for everyone there.

Their ceremony was led by Charlotte Pennefather, who created something incredibly personal and meaningful for Seb & Naomi. Every part of the ceremony reflected who they are as a couple, making it feel warm, emotional, and deeply connected to the people around them.

Golden Hour at Crummock Water

Later in the evening, we headed down to Crummock Water for a golden hour couple session, and it couldn’t have suited Seb & Naomi more perfectly.

The Lakeland fells are a huge part of their lives together and something they’re both incredibly passionate about, so incorporating the mountains and landscapes into their wedding photography felt completely natural.

The soft golden sunshine dropping behind the hills, still water, warm summer air, and the most incredible views across the Lakes. It was one of those moments where everything just comes together perfectly.

These quieter moments away from the wedding are often some of my favourite parts of the day to capture, giving couples a chance to slow down together and soak everything in.

An Outdoor First Dance at Sunset

Back at Low Hall The Lakes, the celebrations carried on outside as the sun slowly began to set. Seb & Naomi shared their first dance outdoors surrounded by friends and family.

The evening party was then taken to another level by Glen Roughead, whose unique guitar playing and vocals created the perfect vibe for the night. The combination of live music, sunset skies, and everyone dancing outside made for such an unforgettable ending to an already incredible wedding day.

Lake District Wedding Photography at Low Hall The Lakes

Weddings like Seb & Naomi’s are exactly why I love photographing weddings in the Lake District. Relaxed couples, breathtaking scenery, meaningful moments, and celebrations that feel genuinely personal always create something special.

Low Hall The Lakes really is one of the most stunning wedding venues in Cumbria, especially for couples wanting an intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by the beauty of the Lakeland fells.

Seb & Naomi, thank you both so much for having me there to capture such an amazing day. It was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.
