Blake and Kaia are the kind of couple that makes me enjoy my job as much as I do and is suited to Town Head Estate perfectly. Relaxed, fun, and focused on celebrating with their favourite people, they used the venue’s flexibility to create a day that felt completely personal.
Their wedding day was full of laughter, with Lake Windermere providing a stunning natural backdrop. Because the venue is exclusively yours for the day, there’s no rush and no sharing space with other events. That freedom allows couples to move through the venue and it’s stunning setting, whether that’s mingling in the grounds or slipping away for a few quiet minutes by the water.
Golden Hour at Town Head Estate
One of the biggest advantages of a Town Head Estate wedding is the extensive grounds that roll all the way down to Lake Windermere. For Blake and Kaia, we took a short walk down to the shoreline of Lake Windermere for their first couple session before another quick step out into the grounds just before sunset.
Winter golden hour in the Lake District is short and unpredictable. The sun dropped behind the surrounding fells, casting warm light perfect for those golden hour couple shots. The combination of open water, rolling hills, and soft evening light makes Town Head Estate one of the best Lake District wedding venues for natural, relaxed fun-loving couples.

Just two people genuinely enjoying their wedding. Spending the day with couples like that is why I do this. Great light, a stunning Lake District backdrop, and a celebration that felt completely honest to them both. Hard to ask for more than that.
